Universal Health-care

Yes! Finally, everyone is going to be able to have health insurance because this country is going to be able to provide for it. Nobody will have to worry about not having to pay medical bills or worry about going to the doctor. We all need to share many of our possessions because after everything, we're all brother and sisters. There's no need to try and see who has this or that but just trying to make sure everyone is doing just alright. The passing of this health care reform is big giant step for this nation that is going to hopefully lead to much more better things.

So what do you think about the Health-care Reform?
Any questions, comments or slide remarks?

  1. I don't see why this is a good thing Jesus. This whole country is based on capitalism. The one that is able to exceed more than those around him. With the passing of the healthcare reform, it seems like this country is starting to become like a socialsit country. We've seen in Europe where socialism and communism has never worked. It was the fall of their empire and government. Now that it did pass, let's just hope for the best.

  2. I'll agree with Victor on this one Jesus. I see why you like it because you want the best for all people and all beings including the homeless and the poor and they will be able to easily get help with this new bill. In the grand scheme of things though I don't see how the new bill will be beneficially to all Americans.

  4. Yes but this country is based on the right to own property, work hard, and not have to deal with government interference in certain aspects. Well, by the government not interfering in the healthcare sector, many people can go unprotected, and many children and families can even die. I admit this country does do wonders with its capitalist type economy, especially for other nations in need, but to deny everyone healthcare because they cannot afford it, and to risk being called a socialist?! Ludacrous! We need to lessen our patriotism and biasedness for a good cause. How would you feel, Vick or Greg, if one day you were fired and had no benefits, family couldn't help you, and you had pneumonia. These things happen. Hopefully, President Obama will look into the bill he passed and rule out and unfair or unjust back door dealings that may occur. The people are what matters. We all should have an equal opportunity for education and healthcare. Property and riches not so much; people need to work for that and I can agree on that. Laziness won't get you into heaven.

  6. Jesus,

I agree with you! Just because we are a capitalist economy and very individualist, does not mean we have to ignore the fact that many families are without healthcare and health insurance. It is a low percentage, but those are in need! It wouldn't be a socialist move, it would be a moral and justified move if we gave everyone the opportunity to afford and be able to use health insurance. There are instances where families who are well off financially lose their jobs and are without benefits. When they get sick they have nothing. This is not fair. Many others don't donate or give support as much as they should. The government is going to need to be strict with protocol and regulations as you stated, and there will be media bashing on this, but it is a good move for the people.
